Ecuador

On January 8th, the Ecuadorian President declared a state of emergency in Ecuador. This act was in response to cartel-related rioting in the country’s prison system. Since then, armed forces and police have engaged with cartel members in isolated parts of the country. However, this violence has not been directed at tourist areas or the transportation system. The Guayaquil and Quito airports have enhanced their security, and the military has been deployed to these areas.  

We are currently operating tours in Ecuador without interruptions. As the safety of our clients is our #1 concern, we will continue to closely monitor the situation on the ground in conjunction with our regional office, suppliers, and local officials. In the event that we need to make changes to services, we will act quickly and keep our passengers informed. However, at this time, we have no reason to believe that our itineraries will be impacted in any way.   

Brazil

Brazil has delayed the visa requirement for US passport holders.  Starting April 10, 2025, US passport holders will be required to obtain a visa in order to enter Brazil. Until then, a visa is not required. 

Israel

All Israel tours with departure dates through Dec 31st, 2024, have been suspended.

We will continue to monitor the situation and assess departures for Jan 1st, 2025, and beyond. 

Iceland

Our tours continue to operate safely in Iceland. Localized seismic activity in the town of Grindavik led to a volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula as well as a temporary closure of the Blue Lagoon.  Passengers will be notified if the Blue Lagoon will be closed on their booked date.
